about

Act II - Scene III

Michael’s soul wanders in time.

lyrics

I'm waking up and I can see myself,
Lying down with thousands of men.
It's so strange, I feel there's no one left.
No one that can really understand.

I can see through times, all the battle fields.
Destruction and confusion. Traces man left over the years.

Soldiers of freedom. Deaths for religions.
Blood in the grass, An other races' clash.
Reign of terror, control and power.
Eternity in pain if you don't pray until the end.

Arms and drugs sold by dictators.
The riche's money for which the poor fights and dies.

Looking in the past, tell me what I see.
War games and battles. Is that history?
Mankind didn't realize fight after fight.
We're nothing on this earth and we'll all have to die.

about

Existence Montreal, Québec

Existence started as a “rock-opera” project written by Alan Charles. Joined by other musicians, the band took the name of the project before starting touring in 1992.

The album Small People, Short Story, Little Crime came out in 1999.

In 2017, Existence released the complete original concept as the ably titled Origins album, since only half of it had been released as an album until then.
