about

Acat II - Scene IV

While Krissy is getting her life back on track, Paul falls into a state of deep depression.

lyrics

Here I am in my last battle.
I fought them all: suicide, rape, war and drugs.
Running every day to save my soul.
I still don't understand what rules this world.

I lost my time looking for the light.
Looking for the truth nobody has.
Spitting on laws, I wanted to change the world.
Fighting with ny only weapon: my words.

Sitting here tonight, writing my last song.
I finally never found what went so wrong.
Men fight all the time. What is it all about?
We'll all be the same six feet underground.

I feel so old, I'm afraid of darkness.
When I close my eyes I return to nothing.
I see my grave, I see my body.
My head is dead. My soul is empty.

I'm afraid to die.
What is there after life?
I'm going crazy.
Nobody can help me.

I lost my last battle.

about

Existence Montreal, Québec

Existence started as a “rock-opera” project written by Alan Charles. Joined by other musicians, the band took the name of the project before starting touring in 1992.

The album Small People, Short Story, Little Crime came out in 1999.

In 2017, Existence released the complete original concept as the ably titled Origins album, since only half of it had been released as an album until then.
