about

Act I - Scene V

Despite her great sadness, Krissy helps her best friend Maryse to commit suicide. When Michael arrives on the scene, it’s already too late.

lyrics

Your life is falling apart like an old tree cracking in the wind.
Leaves are coming down through your eyes,
It's just a question of time until you die.

The silence of night scares you to death,
So suicide is the path you find to see the truth in life.
Dusk is in your eyes even if the shadows of life still have a last breath.

You can't see the sun shining, ‘cause the clouds in your soul .
Slowly you're coming down, like the rain I see dripping out of your eyes.

The night comes now.
You can start to cry.

You always see the black side of things,
While your heart screams a silent misery.
You seem to be in a strange state of mind,
I would like to know if you hear me inside.

Talk to me; I can't read your mind.
Talk to me. Don't cut the line.

Why haven't you come to me,
When you felt your life get so hopeless.
Now your face shows your agony,
You used to be so receptive.

Talk to me; I can't read your mind.
Don't leave me, don't cut the line.

The wind blows hard and my head is ice.
It's to late for me, I already threw the dice.
I was dead when you met me,
It was hidden down inside me.

I feel my life dripping out of my mind.
Even at night, I see the sun shine so bright.
Someone is taking care of me. I'm happy.
Can you see my smile?

Let me die.
Let me die alone. Let me die.
I'm O.K. I found my way.

about

Existence Montreal, Québec

Existence started as a “rock-opera” project written by Alan Charles. Joined by other musicians, the band took the name of the project before starting touring in 1992.

The album Small People, Short Story, Little Crime came out in 1999.

In 2017, Existence released the complete original concept as the ably titled Origins album, since only half of it had been released as an album until then.
